Gary Tier

Originally drawn to the rich history and growth potential of Forwarders List, Gary Tier acquired the organization in 2007. Forwarders List has flourished under Gary’s leadership, becoming a premier resource for many of the world’s largest commercial collections agencies, banks, and financial services institutions. At the same time, member law firms have been able to leverage qualified referrals to develop new client relationships and increase profits.

Gary has been a leader of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA) since joining the organization in 2002. He has served two terms on the Board of Governors and is a two-time President of the Association of Law List Publishers. Gary serves on the Executive Council of the Eastern Region and previously chaired the Young Members Section and co-chaired the National Membership Committee.

Gary also served on the membership committee for the Receivables Management Association, Inc. and was instrumental in creating the highly successful attorney networking event at their national conference.

A sought-after speaker and panelist in the creditors’ rights and collection industry, Gary attends more than a dozen industry conferences each year and visits clients all over the world. He is a member of a number of legal and financial trade associations, including:

  • The American Collectors Association
  • Commercial Law League of America
  • The Federation of European National Collectors Association
  • Receivables Management Association, Inc.
  • The International Association of Commercial Collectors
  • The National Creditors Bar Association
  • The National Association of Subrogation Professionals

Gary is an active member of the Princeton-Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. As a past Chair of the Princeton Region Young Professionals (PRYP) Steering Committee, he played a central role in planning unique events to grow PRYP membership and improve the attendee experience.

Driven by a strong sense of community, Gary has served on various nonprofit Boards of Directors, including the George School Children's Center and One Simple Wish, a Trenton-based nonprofit that supports foster children and vulnerable families. He also organizes local golf events and triathlons for the Wounded Warrior Project.
